What is Health Coaching?
To define what health coaching is, we first have to define what it is NOT.
Health coaching is not a replacement for the necessary medical care that you may be currently undergoing.
It is not a replacement for a regimen that a doctor has prescribed for you.
Healthcare professionals are responsible for keeping you alive. They need to make fast judgments and prescribe a course of treatment based on national known average results.
You should not eliminate or exclude or doctor if you choose to take this path and you should never stop taking a prescription without consulting your doctor.
I am not a doctor, nutritionist, or dietitian.
There may not be a way to eliminate your current course of treatment and you should never stop taking any prescription without talking to your doctor.
Your doctor plays an important role in everyone’s health but our systems are unique and complex. There are so many other areas that need attention and care.
Think of your car. If you only take it to a mechanic when it breaks, you are not doing what you need to get the most out of it. If you forgo your oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, etc. you are going to have to get bigger things fixed more often at a higher expense.
But if you invest in the maintenance, not only will your mechanic have less to fix, your car will last longer. If your doctor is the mechanic, I am everything in between!

As my client, you will get an hour of my undivided attention every two weeks throughout the course of your program. I currently offer programs that are as short as 3 months or up to 1 year long, depending on your goals. The reason for the longer program sessions is that lasting change does not happen overnight. There will be bumps along the way, where you will need a coach to cheer on the small victories but also help you get back on track when the road seems to have derailed.
According to your unique goals, whether it be adding more movement, creating an eating and lifestyle plan according to your health needs, looking at the outside stressors in your life, I will give you the tools to help. We will go slow, as it is important for you to be able to make sustainable changes without feeling deprived. It is about creating a health balance by creating new habits.
You will get to determine what is best for you. Because you know your body better than anyone else. I will be there to guide you, support you, encourage you, cheer you, offer tips and research, and to hold you accountable so you will see results!
Each person’s plan will be different because we are INDIVIDUALS. No two people have the same needs and goals. Our plan will be as unique as you are.
Working as a Holistic Health Coach, I understand the path that so many people seem to be on, feeling like he/she is alone, no one will understand or care enough to help, or not even knowing how to ask or what to ask for help. I had to be my own health advocate, and still play that role to myself. Once I figured out that food and movement are medicine and applied that to my own life, I became a changed person, with a changed outlook on life towards both myself and others!
Once these changes started taking place, I had more and more people coming to me, asking my secret. I took a step back to see that people came to me because I listened to them, being their go-to for advice, for encouraging people to try something new and get out of his/her comfort zone.
That’s how I made the decision to get to become a trained nutrition, health and wellness coach. Now, it is my desire to help other men and women going through similar struggles to set their own goals and find their way to health and happiness. I will be that person to support you to take that next step, take the time for you.
