Creating the timeline and list of pro and cons to prepare us for change. Celebrating the small wins and learning from our mistakes help keep us accountable and moving forward. Grace, Peace and Joy are themes of the holiday season. They are something we are looking to give to others. But so many times, we forget to gift ourselves grace, peace and joy. They aren’t the most easy, but when you allow them into your heart, your holidays more full of grace, peace and joy.
Too many times, we get caught up in the holiday stresses that we let ourselves go. Take time for yourself so that you can enjoy all the season has to offer.
We keep hearing that being “high maintenance” is a bad thing. But, is it really? Taking pride in how we look or what we want shouldn’t be judged. It is what makes us feel better about ourselves. Especially now, in this “new normalcy” that we have to live in. Taking a little extra time to make ourselves feel better, be it getting nails done or doing our hair and make up daily, or just wanting something an extra special for ourselves. Maybe we should be calling it “self-care” instead.
We have been hearing the term “social distance” repeatedly for more than seven months now. Yet, is it really working in keeping us healthy? Yes, in that we keep our distance from others but no, in that we are losing the ability to connect on a human level with others. How many meaningful relationships are being lost, broken, or not even created with this “new normal?”
